My favourite part at Masu Sushi was their fruit-infused cocktails. We went there with my girlfriend that early June and it was the best early birthday outing.

It was my first time to dine at Departure, a modern Asian fine dining restaurant located at the 15th floor at a prestigious hotel.
Despite the beautiful interiors, there are vegan options on the menu from wok-fried brussel sprouts, varieties of salads to sushi. The meals are fairly light and simple. My favourite vegan dishes so far were the wok-fried brussel sprouts and the butter lettuce salad (with herbs, mango and coconut vinaigrette). They were among the tastiest.
I’m not too keen about the vegan-friendly sushi (the grilled shiitake and the special one with red miso sauce on it); to be honest, they were very bland. It would be interesting to see if they can incorporate some grilled tofu, tempeh or flavoured shiitake (at least) or some grilled tofu with some herb salad in the steamed buns (as a vegan option).
The non-vegan meal, bbq shortrib buns was an enjoyable item for a meat-eater.
Cocktails taste sweet for my taste, but they still taste good in a summery way.

Photographed the interiors at the Departure fine dining asian restaurant with S95. Loved the white interiors. Plated foods photographed with 5DMarkII will be shown later.

Had a tasty vegan chicken salad sub with lettuces/tomato at DC Vegetarian. Sub includes vegan soy curls, celery and red onion mixed with vegenaise on Dave Killer’s bread. I will try other varieties again including their homemade seitan. Taken with S95, unfortunately the lighting wasn’t so great in the hotel room, but we made it indoors from the horrible hail.

Went on a drive/walk near the waters (West + East) with Doni before dawn. I love the colours before the sun rises, it’s amazing how you can photograph something without using a professional tripod. It’s all fabulous!
