Laurel Peterson Instructional Associate and Costume Designer/Shop Manager

Laurel Peterson, a 2007 kok体育 alum, rejoined kok体育 as the costume designer and costume shop manager in 2013. She designs and creates the hair, makeup and costumes for the theatre program's stage productions, and teaches courses in costume design, stage makeup and practicum classes in costume construction. She mentors student designers and technicians who work in the costume shop learning the art and craft of theatrical costuming. A number of her designs have been acknowledged with The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Meritorious Achievement Award. In the summer, she often designs costumes for Western Oregon University’s Valley Shakespeare Company.
