Antonio

9 Mar

Two weekends ago, I shot a male model: Antonio. I believe he is Spanish according to his surname, but he is an awesome model to work with. He was observant, laid back and at the same time, he was very professional using his expressive faces in different angles. He did a wonderful job with me and my boyfriend. I was really impressed with his portraits/poses so far. I’m utterly pleased with him.

Arslan

6 Mar

I have never done men’s fashion nor worked with men for any fashion-editorial related shoots, and wished I would have done better with fashion-wear such as selecting the best looks for men.

However, Arslan was the first guy I shot. We met somewhere in the industrial areas of NW Portland. He was a very outgoing, spirited, and open-minded lad. His ethnicity is very interesting and mixed: Pakistani, Indian and Persian. This photo shoot is mostly based on portrait + lifestyle.

Headshots of a Russian doll

Took place at waterfront PDX in ending December of 2009. She was really fun to work with, especially with a gorgeous Russian face!

Photo shoot with an amazing local actress for the second time of the week! Her outfit was unique — vintage yellow peacoat with denim jeans and the sexy brown boots! It really painted her personality really well! She was very enjoyable to work with!

The Red Dress in the Winters

Forgive me for posting more than a few times in one day. I lost 50% of my posts today. So I’m making it up for it. I took photos of a lovely friend at the coldest point of the city in the end of Dec, actually, I’m exaggerating. It’s a flower-less arena when you don’t actually want to see. But it’s a great location to shoot anyone there. She was easy to work with. But it was just darn chilly.

Amazing girl ever. She totally blends in on that bridge. I snapped photos of her on the 18th of December, 2009. It was a comfortably rainy day as I’d remembered.

Penthouse Photoshoot

28 Dec

It was a rainy day however this photoshoot was very unique because it took place at a gorgeous vacant penthouse in downtown PDX. Plus, I get to take pictures of a local actress as well! =) She was very easy to work with. Funny and witty girl with a great heart and voice!

The First Photoshoot 12/18

28 Dec

I remembered the weather was really cloudy and that day was my very first photo shoot with an awesome girl, I believe it was taken on 12/18/2009. It was so far the best day of the week due to Portland’s bloody crap rain. On a brilliant morning, I met up with a very lovely, cheery girl with amazing red hair and a pair of sea-blue eyes. She’s standing at 5′9″ and her taste of vintage fashion was utterly perfect especially makeup! And I thought of pretty balloons because she is cheery as always. We took pictures near Union Station and the Brooklyn Bridge. It was the most creative location to start with. When I looked at her photos compared to other women I have shot pics of, her lack of emotion was actually the most intriguing part of the whole photo set. It showed her true, natural self without revealing the fake-ness and I really love it! I have to thank her for helping me out, but she made it happen! Thank you!
