It’s really fabulous to hear how Portland (beauty/fashion) photographers are liking my works so far and how they have seen my progress so far. They just look up to me :) with dignity. Yay.

I’ve been learning lots from fashion/model related photo shoots. Maybe the same old poses are boring me already, especially with my pose ideas for the models are boring me already enough. For instance, it’s always the same look, the same face expression, the same smile, or the same “model” look, and look at the repetition of these throughout the different shoots. No offense to the other models, I heart them already esp if they are starting out :) Some of the other models did real impressive well. For instance, a model usually has different expression in every different photo.

I realize I needed something new to this: hyperactive, wild, angry or depressing or frustrated emotions, i.e., screaming her lungs out or pulling her hair out or act jealous or squinting eye/clenching her mouth, or be pouty or be wild. I’m not trying to negate the concepts for any future shoots, but I find that amusing + real! I honestly believe models should express themselves fully and show something powerful out of them, so I can see the real them, and how truly emotional they are in the inside. Because everyday, every one of us has struggles and fears throughout our lives, but it’s real brilliant to be completely alive or confident to overcome your depression or fears again.

I hope to make this as a major project concept for the next few months.

Thanks to my beloved boyfriend/photographer DONI for snapping pictures. I finally get pictures with the lovely Sovan Yun of Cocoon Silk! He’s originally from Cambodia. He’s helpful + amazing + adorable and he is so excited for me to use one of his brilliant dresses for my fashion editorial photo shoot! I love Mr. Yun so much for helping me this out!

I have collaborated with a few of downtown boutique shops this month and I was so happy that a lot of people/store owners/wardrobe owners are helping me out to make this happen! I will definitely list a few that I have worked with as I am done with my photos later in the two weeks.

This amazing young gentleman, Mr. Yun, COCOON SILK is going to provide one of his beautiful dresses for my fashion-editorial photography shoot with my lovely Bulgarian model! I was really pleased with the amazing, unique-coloured, silky dresses that he + Cocoon Silk offer. They do customization/fitting/redesign of these dresses as well –which is a plus to know! They do amazing wedding and bridal dresses that I would highly recommend for anyone who is looking to get married or engaged anytime soon!
